Denver, CO: The award-winning DiNK Denver has announced a call for artists to participate in the 2018 Exhibition to be held at the McNichols Civic Center Building this April 14-15. Applications for participating artists will open for review for one month only beginning on September 1st – October 1st showcasing diverse talent from around the world.

A fantastic place to rub elbows with creators from Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and London, DiNK has received rave reviews from local media and national names alike for its laser focus working to amplify the work and voices of underground creators from all corners of the earth.

More to be announced soon!
Often highbrow, but never dull, the event has a knack for finding talent that has both wit and grit, with topics ranging from social justice to the antisocial and everything in between. More than art, displayed works include published books, manuscripts, zines, paintings and graphic novels. Additionally, the event takes an effort to showcase local talent with a unique graffiti tour of RINO — and in true Colorado spirit, there’s even a risque cannabis + comics pairing led by comic legends of the psychedelic 60’s era such as previous hosts, Denis Kitchen of DOPE COMIX or Mario Hernandez of Love and Rockets fame.
Each year the event pays attention to unique programming and evening options including Colorado’s first and only comics awards ceremony, the DiNKy’s, as well as the sometimes ridiculous and always entertaining “Dog Cosplay” competition, another first-time event for the region.
Often imitated, but never replicated, DiNK Denver is the brainchild of Colorado native, Charlie LaGreca, also known for his work breaking ground for the Denver Comic Con as both the founder and original creator.
Tickets for the annual event will go on sale October 2nd and artists of all stripes and types are encouraged to apply September 1st – October 1st at www.dinkdenver.com.
